Low current models are particularly Solar-Friendly. There are units with solid state outputs as well as the conventional volt free contacts units for your every need.
Commonly used in both the gate automation and traffic industry, plug in detectors require a pinned base in which to mount the detector inside the control panel. These detectors work with traditional loops that are cut into the ground.

VD955 - Adjustable Vehicle Loop Detector with interface
The VD955 can be used as either a safety loop or free exit probe detector with adjustable sensitivity.
The VD955 includes a VD.CI Interface board, to work with most gate automation control panels.
It should not be used as a safety loop if used with a Free Exit Probe.
